Commercial and industrial robots are widespread today and used to perform jobs more cheaply, more precisely and more reliably, than people. They are also employed in some jobs that are too dirty, dangerous, or uninteresting to be appropriate for humans. Robots are widely used in manufacturing, assembly, packing and packaging, mining, transport, earth and space exploration, surgical procedure, weaponry, laboratory analysis, security, and the mass production of shopper and industrial goods. Robotic engineering is a broad subject of engineering focused on the design and integration of whole robotic techniques. Thus it requires information of mechanical, electronic, software, and control techniques, interacting with the engineers specialised in each subject to satisfy the requirements and goals for a given robot.
